Aba NewayeSelassie Aklilu, one of the the monks who are said ordinated by the law breaker group returned back to his mother Church.
Aba Newayeselassie Aklilu heard the call of repentance by the Holy Synod of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church and presented all of the clerical vestments he recieved from the group that break the laws and canons of our Church.
On his letter of repentance and apology, he stated as he was one of the monks who teied to become an Episcopate violating the constitution and canon of the Church and he came from Jerusalem for this weak purpose.
He also mentioned as he deeply regrate of being part of the uncanonical action that brought members of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church into deep sorrow and led the Holy Synod to Excommunicate all bodies who participated in it. He finally stated as he came to his mother Church with the help of the mediation committee that are formed by the Holy Synod and asked the General assembly of the Holy Synod to accepted his repentance and wave the excommunication passed on him.
